There are many ways to buy life insurance online, but did you know that it is now possible to insure your house by buying a policy on the Internet? Not only that, but there are websites through which you can find killer deals on everything from mortgages to home insurance and other things. Online mortgages are not always completely online but instead the online website acts as a broker, so they get you a deal and then get a commission. In this way, it works similarly to all of the other offline insurance providers. For example, a lot of them do not operate out of their own sales office. You really do not want your family to be flipping the bill for everything after you die. Instead, you want your wife and children to be able to live comfortably. Having hunger and possibly losing their house after you die is not what you want for your family and also it will make their sadness over you passing away even more stressful. Even though life insurance costs money and even though it is something that really should not be something that you second guess when you are thinking about whether to buy it or not, a lot of people decide that they can “cheat” death for a few months and do not buy life insurance. It is not so much that they are cheating death as it is that they think that they can get away with not being covered for a while.
After all, what is the chance that you will die in any given month? People do the same thing with health insurance and the results are even more disastrous. What happens is that somebody gets sick (or the insurance company says they did) when they were off coverage. The insurance company claims it is a “pre-existing condition” and tries to deny them coverage (though the health care law made this illegal) or drives up their insurance rates so high that there is really no point to doing it.
Make sure it includes funeral insurance
The funeral insurance programs that your insurance might include will help your family pay for the immediate costs of the funeral. Unlike life insurance claims which can take weeks to pay out (so make sure your family has some money saved up for this time) funeral insurance claims are processed very quickly and go only toward your funeral. Because of this, it is popular for people to get two separate policies (one for life insurance, one for funeral insurance) or get one policy that includes both so that their family won’t be left with the burden of paying for their funeral.
